Abstract
Adolescence is a stage of development after childhood and before becoming an adult. Adolescence can also be called a transition period. One of the characteristics is his emotions. The aim of this research was to determine the increase in emotional regulation in students at SMPN 1 Sooko Mojokerto after implementing group guidance services using self-regulated learning techniques. This research uses quantitative methods with a pre-experimental one group pretest posttest research design. The sampling technique for this research used a random sampling technique, with research subjects consisting of 8 class VIII J students who had emotional regulation in the high, medium and low categories. Data collection used a questionnaire with 33 item statements which had first been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis used is non-parametric statistics, namely the wilcoxom test via SPSS. From the results of non-parametric statistical tests using SPSS version 24 with the Wilcoxon test, it was obtained that the asymp sign (2-tailed) value was smaller, namely (0.012<0.05), which means that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, therefore it can be concluded that group guidance was carried out using independent techniques. Arranged learning is able to improve emotional regulation of students at SMPN 1 Sooko Mojokerto. Researchers hope that this research can become a reference for several parties. For further research or guidance and counseling teachers, they can carry out group guidance in order to increase knowledge and prevent problems for students from arising, so that students will not experience obstacles in their development stages and tasks.
