HUBUNGAN ANTARA KONSEP DIRI DAN KONFORMITAS TEMAN SEBAYA DENGAN PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN KARIER SISWA SMPN 34 SURABAYA

Siswa SMP berada dalam fase remaja dimana perubahan fisik dan psikologis terjadi. Dalam fase tersebut perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi mempengaruhi konsep diri siswa. Selain itu, siswa SMP lebih banyak berinteraksi dengan teman sebaya dibandingkan dengan keluarganya. Pada tingkat kelas 9 SMP siswa memiliki tugas perkembangan yaitu pengambilan keputusan karier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara konsep diri dan konformitas teman sebaya dengan pengambilan keputusan karier menggunakan metode korelasi Kendall dan korelasi berganda. Data penelitian ini berasal dari 195 siswa SMPN 34 Surabaya. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan adanya hubungan antara konsep diri dan konformitas teman sebaya dengan pengambilan keputusan karier dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar R=0,349 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000<0,05. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa konsep diri dan konformitas teman sebaya secara simultan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan pengambilan keputusan karier dengan arah hubungan yang positif sebab nilai R change 0,591 (positif). Artinya, secara bersama-sama apabila nilai konsep diri dan konformitas teman sebaya meningkat maka nilai pengambilan keputusan karier juga akan meningkat.

Abstract

Junior school students are in the adolescent phase where physical and psychological changes occur. In this phase the changes that occur affect students' self-concept. In addition, junior high school students interact more with their peers than with their families. At the 9th grade level of junior high school, students have a developmental task, namely making career decisions. This research aims to examine the relationship between self-concept and peer conformity and career decision making using the Kendall correlation and multiple correlation methods. This research data comes from 195 students of SMPN 34 Surabaya. The results of this study found a relationship between self-concept and peer conformity and career decision making with a correlation coefficient of R=0.349 and a significance value of 0.000<0.05. These results indicate that self-concept and peer conformity simultaneously have a significant relationship with career decision making with a positive relationship direction because the R change value is 0.591 (positive). This means that together, if the value of self-concept and peer conformity increases, the value of career decision making will also increase.
