Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the group guidance service Problem Based Learning technique can improve the ability to reach out to students at SMP Al-Falah Deltasari Sidoarjo. This study uses a pre-experimental quantitative method with a One Group Pre-test Post-test design, and data analysis in this study uses non-parametric statistics, namely the Wilcoxon test. The data collection used is a reaching out questionnaire instrument to measure the ability of reaching out to students at SMP Al-Falah Deltasari Sidoarjo. The subjects in this study amounted to eight (8) seventh grade students who had high, medium, and low reaching out abilities. Based on the results of the calculation of the average pretest score of 90 and after participating in group guidance services Problem Based Learning technique has increased to 96. From non-parametric statistics, the test results using SPSS 23 For Windows with the Wilcoxon test obtained a smaller Asym.Sign (2-tailed) value of 0.11 (0.11 <0.05) so this shows that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, it can be concluded that Group Guidance Problem Based Learning technique can improve the reaching out ability of Al-Falah Deltasari Sidoarjo Junior High School students.
