Keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik butuh dikembangkan agar mempunyai keterampilan hidup yang menunjang keberhasilannya. Penelitian bertujuan guna menguji efektivitas layanan bimbingan klasikal dengan model problem based learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas VII-K SMP Negeri 19 Surabaya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pre-eksperimental. Bentuk desain yang digunakan adalah One Group Pretest-Posttest. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Statistic Parametric Paired Sample t-Test. Instrumen tes untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Subjek penelitian kelas VII-K atas rekomendasi guru BK. Terlihat perbedaan dari rata-rata skor yang diperoleh peserta didik antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan layanan bimbingan klasikal dengan model problem based learning sebesar 2,9 poin. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan layanan bimbingan klasikal dengan model problem based learning efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas VII K SMP Negeri 19 Surabaya.

Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills need to be developed in order to equip them with life skills that support their success. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of classical guidance services using the problem-based learning model to improve the critical thinking skills of Grade VII-K students at SMP Negeri 19 Surabaya. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research design. The design used is the One Group Pretest-Posttest model. Data analysis was carried out using the Statistical Parametric Paired Sample t-Test. A test instrument was employed to measure students' critical thinking abilities. The research subjects were students of class VII-K, selected based on the recommendation of the school counselor. A difference of 2.9 points was observed in the average scores before and after the students received classical guidance services using the problem-based learning model. It can be concluded that classical guidance services with the problem-based learning model are effective in enhancing the critical thinking skills of Grade VII-K students at SMP Negeri 19 Surabaya.
