PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MELALUI PENDIDIKAN KECAKAPAN HIDUP (LIFE SKILL EDUCATION) PADA KOMPETENSI DASAR MENERAPKAN PENGGUNAAN PERALATAN TANGAN LISTRIK SESUAI PROSEDUR KERJA DAN KESELAMATANNYA DI SMKN 2 BOJONEGORO

Abstract

Penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan di kelas XI Teknik Konstruksi Kayu di SMK Negeri 2 Bojonegoro dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Dilatarbelakangi karena kurangnya pendampingan yang dilakukan oleh guru setelah pemberian tugas, tidak ditanamkanya aspek kecakapan hidup sehingga siswa juga terbiasa berpatokan pada guru untuk kesadaran menggali informasi masih kurang, terlebih lagi komunikasi dan bekerjasama serta pengambilan keputusan ketika menggunakan alat belum diperhatikan.

Aspek-aspek kecakapan hidup kurang diterapkan baik kesadaran diri, berfikir rasional, kecakapan sosial, kecakapan vokasional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research). Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif tentang mengelola pembelajaran melalui aspek-aspek kecakapan hidup. Pada instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi lembar pengamatan pembelajaran siswa, lembar pengelolaan pembelajaran, lembar penilaian kecakapan hidup, tes tulis serta tes keterampilan dan angket.

Untuk hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada penilaian kecakapan hidup yang meliputi aspek kecakapan sosial pada siklus I mendapatkan prosentase 40,1% tergolong tidak baik, sedangkan pada aspek kecakapan vokasional di siklus yang ke I didapatkan prosentase 44,2% tergolong cukup baik. Penilaian kecakapan hidup pada aspek kecakapan sosial di siklus yang ke II meningkat mendapatkan prosentase 78,3% tergolong baik, sedangkan pada aspek kecakapan vokasional di siklus yang ke II meningkat menjadi prosentasenya 86,6% tergolong sangat baik. Tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran melalui pendidikan kecakapan hidup pada kompetensi dasar menerapkan penggunaan peralatan tangan listrik sesuai prosedur kerja dan keselamatannya pada materi penggunaan mesin ketam mencapai prosentase 81,1% tergolong Sangat Baik. Untuk Ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan pembelajaran melalui pendidikan kecakapan hidup pada kompetensi dasar menerapkan penggunaan peralatan tangan listrik sesuai prosedur kerja dan keselamatannya pada materi penggunaan mesin ketam listrik pada siklus ke I mencapai 15%, kemudian pada putaran siklus yang ke II mengalami peningkatan mencapai prosentase 90% yang tergolong sangat baik. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa tiap siklus menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa tergolong sangat baik.

This research has been conducted in class XI Wood Construction Engineering at SMK Negeri 2 Bojonegoro who has 30 students. With problem of the lack of assistance made by the teacher after administration tasks, there is no aspects of life skills so that students are also accustomed based on the awareness of teachers to explore the information is still lacking, especially communication and collaboration and decision making when using tools has not been considered.

Aspects of life skills are less applicable both self-awareness, rational thinking, social skills, vocational skills. This type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research). Methods of data analysis using quantitative descriptive analysis on managing learning through aspects of life skills. In the instrument used in this study include the observation sheet student learning, learning management sheets, sheets assessment of life skills, written tests and skills tests and questionnaires.

For the results showed on the assessment of life skills that include aspects of social skills in cycle I get a percentage of 40.1% is not classified as good, while in the aspect of vocational skills in the first cycle to obtain a percentage of 44.2% is quite good. Assessment of life skills in aspects of social skills in the second cycle to obtain a percentage of 78.3% increased relatively well, while in the aspect of vocational skills in the second cycle to the percentage increased to 86.6% as very good. The response of students to learning through life skills education in the basic competence to apply appropriate use of hand tools electrical work procedures and safety in the use of material planers engine reaches a percentage of 81.1% classified as Very Good. For completeness student learning outcomes after application of learning through life skills education in the basic competence to apply appropriate use of hand tools electrical work procedures and safety in the use of materials of electric planers machines in the cycle to the first reaches 15%, then on to the second round of the cycle reaches the percentage increase 90% were classified as very good. Improving student learning outcomes of each cycle show that the learning outcomes of students classified as very good.
