PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE (TPS) PADA MATA PELAJARAN MEKANIKA TEKNIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X TGB DI SMK NEGERI 5 SURABAYA

Abstract

Mekanika Teknik merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang yang wajib dipelajari siswa kelas X Teknik Gambar Bangunan (TGB) di SMK Negeri 5 Surabaya. Pemahaman siswa yang masih rendah ini dilihat dari hasil belajar sebelumnya sebesar 36% atau 10 orang dari 28 siswa masih di bawah ketuntasan klasikal  75%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui a) aktifitas guru mengajar pada saat penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) pada mata pelajaran mekanika teknik, b) aktifitas belajar siswa pada saat penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS pada mata pelajaran mekanika teknik, c) peningkatan hasil belajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS pada mata pelajaran mekanika teknik.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan pengamatan untuk memperoleh data kualitatif tentang aktifitas guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran bermodel kooperatif TPS dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Tes digunakan untuk memperoleh data kuantitatif tentang hasil belajar siswa dengan model TPS.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, a) aktifitas  guru pada memperoleh rerata nilai 89.8 dengan kategori sangat baik, b) aktifitas belajar siswa dengan rerata nilai 87.5 dengan kategori sangat baik, sehingga penerapan pembelajaran model TPS oleh guru dan siswa sudah terlaksana dengan baik, dan c) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) pada mata pelajaran mekanika teknik. Peningkatan hasil belajar di siklus I dari 64.8 meningkat di siklus II mencapai 85. Ketuntasan hasil belajar secara klasikal  pada siklus I dengan presentase  35.71% meningkat menjadi 78.57%.

Abstract

Structural Analysis is one of the subjects that must be studied class X Architecture Engineering (TGB) in SMK Negeri 5 Surabaya . Students' understanding is still low is seen from the results of a previous study by 36% or 10 out of 28 students were still under the classical completeness 75% . The purpose of this study was to determine a) activities of teachers teaching at the time of the application of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share on the subjects of structural analysis, b) students learning activities during the implementation of cooperative learning model TPS on the subjects of structural analysis, c) learning outcome model TPS type of cooperative learning on the subjects of structural analysis.

The method used is classroom action research. Data were collected using observations to obtain qualitative data about the activities of teachers and students in cooperative learning newfangled polling was conducted in two cycles. The test is used to obtain quantitative data on student learning outcomes with TPS models.

The results showed that, a) activities of teachers in obtaining a mean value of 89.8 with a very good category, b) the student activity with a mean value of 87.5 with excellent category, so the application of the learning model of TPS by teachers and students already performing well, and c) improving student learning outcomes using cooperative learning model TPS on the subjects of structural analysis. Improved learning outcomes in the first cycle of 64.8 increased in the second cycle reaches 85. Classical mastery learning outcomes in the first cycle with a percentage of 35.71% increase to 78.57%.
