PENERAPAN MEDIA PADA MATA PELAJARAN KONSTRUKSI BANGUNAN BAJA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X TEKNIK GAMBAR BANGUNAN SMK NEGERI 2 PROBOLINGGO

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kurangnya media pembelajaran yang mendukung guru dalam menjelaskan materi pelajaran konstruksi bangunan  di dalam kelas, sehingga siswa merasa sulit untuk memahami materi yang diajarkan oleh guru. Dampaknya rata-rata nilai siswa berada di bawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) yakni nilai 75. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran konstruksi bangunan siswa SMK Negeri 2 Probolinggo kurang baik. Terkait permasalahan-permasalahan yang telah ditemukan, dipilihlah media replika sebagai media pembelajaran. Media replika adalah tiruan dalam bentuk replika dari benda nyata. Replika dibuat agar siswa mengetahui suatu benda yang biasanya sulit dibayangkan pada saat pembelajaran karena benda aslinya tidak memungkinkan dibawa guru ke dalam kelas. Siswa tidak hanya melihat gambar  yang biasanya di perlihatkan oleh guru saat pembelajaran di dalam kelas, akan tetapi siswa dapat melihat, meraba, serta memegang media tersebut dan dapat membuat siswa lebih kreatif, inovatif, dan produktif dalam proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) sebanyak 3 siklus. Variabel yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar siswa dan respon siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X  TGB 2 Program Keahlian Bangunan SMK Negeri 2 Probolinggo semester 2 (genap) tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 25 siswa.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pada siklus I rata-rata nilai siswa adalah 69,76, yang telah tuntas sebanyak 15 siswa (65% dari total siswa) dan siswa yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 10 siswa (35% dari total siswa). Pada siklus II Nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 76,4, yang telah tuntas sebanyak 19 siswa (79% dari total siswa) dan yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 6 siswa (21% dari total siswa). Pada siklus III nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 79,92. Dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas 25 siswa (100% dari jumlah siswa). (2) Hasil Respon siswa mendapat jumlah persentase 79% dari persentase maksimum 100%, hasil diperoleh dengan predikat respon baik dari siswa.

Abstract

The background of this study is the lack of media learning support teachers in explaining the subject matter of building construction in the classroom, so students find it difficult to understand the material being taught by the teacher. The impact the average value of students are under the minimum completeness criteria that a value of 75. Based on these descriptions, learning outcomes on the subjects of building construction students of SMK Negeri 2 Probolinggo unfavorable. Related problems that have been discovered replica media as a medium of learning. Media replica is a clone in the form of replicas of real objects. Replica made so that students know an object that is usually hard to imagine at the time of learning for the original object does not allow the teacher brought into the classroom. Students not only see images that usually shown by the teacher during lessons in the classroom, but students can see, feel, and holds the media and can make students more creative, innovative, and productive in the learning process in the classroom.

The method used is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) of 3 cycles. Variables examined in this study are student learning outcomes and student response. Subjects in this study were students of class X  drawing techniques building 2 Skills Program SMK Negeri 2 Probolinggo 2nd semester in the academic year 2015/2016, amounting to 25 students.

The results of this study indicate that (1) In the first cycle students' average was 69.76, which was completed by 15 students (65% of total students) and students who did not complete as many as 10 students (35% of total students). In the second cycle students' average value was 76.4, which was completed by 19 students (79% of total students) and who did not complete as many as six students (21% of total students). The third cycle students' average score was 79.92. With the number of students who complete 25 students (100% of total students). (2) Results of Student responses received total percentage of 79% of the maximum percentage of 100%, the results obtained with the predicate good response from students.
