PENGEMBANGAN TWO-TIER MULTIPLE CHOICE DIAGNOSTIC TEST PADA MATERI DINDING DAN LANTAI BANGUNAN UNTUK MENGUNGKAP PEMAHAMAN SISWA

Abstract

Jenis evaluasi yang digunakan di penelitian ini adalah two-tier multiple choice diagnostic test. Tes ini memiliki kelebihan level kognitif tinggi sehingga siswa dapat menjawab soal dengan pemahaman yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) memvalidasi instrumen tes diagnostik tipe two-tier multiple choice, (2) reliabilitas soal tes diagnostik two-tier multiple choice, dan (3) mengujicoba kepada siswa dengan materi dinding dan lantai bangunan.

Metode penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R & D). Data dikumpulkan melalui tiga tahap tes, yaitu pertama pengujian soal essay. Kedua, pengujian soal pilihan ganda beralasan, dan ketiga pengujian soal tes diagnostik melalui pilihan ganda dua tingkat.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) validitas instrumen 10 butir soal dengan rincian soal yang dipertahankan nomor (1, 8, 9, 10), soal yang direvisi nomor (2, 3, 4, 6), dan soal yang dibuang nomor (5 dan 7). (2) reliabilitas soal adalah 0,701 termasuk kategori dapat diterima (Cronbach’s Alpha, dan (3) hasil ujicoba terbatas dengan materi dinding dan lantai bangunan adalah siswa kurang memahami struktur dan fungsi dinding bangunan.

Abstract

Type of evaluation used in this study is two-tier multiple choice diagnostic test. This test has advantages that are in high cognitive level so that students can answer with a good understanding. The purpose of this study was to obtain results (1) validation of two-tier multiple choice diagnostic test, (2) reliability of two-tier multiple choice diagnostic tests on the walls and floors of the bulding , and (3) test results to with material on the walls and floors of the bulding .

This research method is Research and Development (R & D). Data were collected through three tests, first test testing essay. Second test is  testing MCQs reasoned. Third test is testing of two-tier multiple choice diagnostic tests.

The results showed (1) validity instrument obtained 10 questions with the category of questions maintained (1, 8, 9, 10), a revised questions (2, 3, 4, 6), and discarded questions (5 and 7). (2) Reliability results obtained 0,701 including acceptable categories ( Cronbach’s Alpha), and (3) Results of testing on students with material wall and floor of the building is students don’t understand the structure and function of building walls.
