HUBUNGAN PRAKTIK KERJA INDUSTRI DAN UJI KOMPETENSI KEAHLIAN TERHADAP KESIAPAN KERJA SISWA KELAS XII KOMPETENSI KEAHLIAN DESAIN PERMODELAN DAN INFORMASI BANGUNAN SMKN 1 JENANGAN

Pendidikan kejuruan menyiapkan siswa guna siap bekerja pada dunia usaha atau dunia industri (DU/DI). Seiring ketatnya tingkat persaingan memasuki DU/DI diharapkan sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) mampu membimbing alumnus untuk menguasai keterampilan sesuai bidang kejuruannya serta kompeten dalam memasuki DU/DI. Praktik kerja industri (Prakerin) serta ujian kompetensi keahlian (UKK) merupakan beberapa program di SMK yang diharapkan bisa mendorong kesiapan peserta didik guna memasuki DU/DI. Riset ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara Prakerin terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa, UKK terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa, serta Prakerin dan  UKK terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa. Responden pada riset ini yaitu siswa kelas XII DPIB SMK N 1 Jenangan Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022 sejumlah 82 peserta didik dari tiga kelas yang dipilih memakai teknik proportional simple random sampling. Explanatory Research digunakan sebagai metode pendekatan dalam riset ini. Riset ini menggunakan teknik analisis data SEM-PLS yang diolah dengan perangkat lunak SmartPLS. Hasil riset ini membuktikan bahwasannya terdapat hubungan yang positif serta  signifikan antara Prakerin terhadap kesiapan kerja peserta didik dengan nilai P-value sebanyak 0.009 dan  nilai t-statistik sebanyak 2.610. kemudian didapatkan hasil bahwasannya terdapat hubungan yang positif serta  signifikan antara UKK terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa dengan nilai P-value sebanyak 0.000 serta nilai t-statistik sebesar 6.834. Terakhir riset ini membuktikan bahwasannya terdapat  hubungan yang positif serta signifikan antara Prakerin dan  UKK terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa dengan nilai R² sebesar 0.567 yang berarti secara simultan prakerin dan  UKK mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja siswa sebanyak 56.7% serta sisanya sebanyak 43.3% disebabkan variabel lain yang tidak diuji pada riset ini. Berdasarkan temuan riset ini, diharapkan sekolah bisa memaksimalkan Prakerin serta UKK untuk membantu peserta didik guna memiliki kesiapan untuk bekerja di dunia kerja kelak.

Abstract

Vocational education prepares students to be ready to join the business world or the industrial world (DU/DI). Along with the intense level of competition to enter DU/DI, it is hoped that vocational high schools (SMK) can educate graduates who have the skill and competent in entering DU/DI. One of the SMK programs is industrial work practice (Prakerin) and skill competency exams (UKK) which are expected to encourage students' readiness to enter DU/DI. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between Prakerin and student work readiness, UKK on student work readiness, and Prakerin and UKK on student work readiness. Respondents in this research were class XII students of DPIB SMK N 1 Jenangan for the 2021/2022 academic year a total of 82 students from 3 classes were selected using the proportional simple random sampling technique. Explanatory Research is used as an approach method in this research. The data analysis technique used is SEM-PLS and the data is processed using the SmartPLS program. The results of this observation prove that there is a positive and significant relationship between Prakerin and work readiness with a P-value of 0.009 and a t-statistic value of 2.610. There is a positive and significant relationship between UKK and student work readiness with a P-value of 0.000 and a t-statistic value of 6.834. There is a positive and significant relationship between Prakerin and UKK on students' work readiness with an R² value of 0.567 which means that simultaneously prakerin and UKK affect students' work readiness by 56.7% and the remaining 43.3 determined by other variables that were not tested on this observation. Based on the findings of this observation, it is hoped that schools can maximize Prakerin and UKK to help students to have readiness to work in the world of work in the future.
