Abstract

The process of motor development experienced by each individual child experiences a different process. The process of motor development is a flow of control of body movements through the coordination of the activity of the central nervous, peripheral nerves and muscles. Gross motor development in each individual child is something that needs attention, because the delay in learning gross motor skills results in movement skills in the subsequent development process. This study aims to conduct a review of a game model that is influential and effective in improving gross motor skills in children aged 6-8 years. The review method begins with collecting journals from google scholar, research gate and science direct that are in accordance with the research theme, then a review process is carried out to produce conclusions. 24 journals were included in the review process based on the game intervention model, methods, samples, and findings. The conclusion of the review shows that the development of gross motor movement skills in children aged 6-8 years can be done through a game model that requires body movement activities. The selected game is a game that is fun and allows children to move freely to make the desired movements. Gross motor movement provides a positive stimulus on the aspects of strength, balance and speed of children
