Abstract

Abstract

Fatigue that occurs due to training loads or intense competition requires time to rest so that the energy that has been wasted can be replenished. In this case the rest period is defined as recovery. Recovery is divided into two, namely active recovery and passive recovery, both of which have the same goal, namely for the body to return to its original state. The speed of recovery possessed by an athlete will also affect the achievements achieved in the future. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the effect of active recovery and passive recovery on the pulse of the recovery of pencak silat athletes from PSHT Rayon GBI Surabaya. The type of research used in this study is quantitative with an experimental design to determine the effect of the variables studied. The population in this study were all PSHT rayon GBI Surabaya athletes who were still actively practicing, with a total of 20 people. The instrument used in this study was to use a recovery pulse test after running and after being given treatment. The data analysis technique used is statistical testing using Paired Simple T-Test and One Way Anova. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, the results of different tests show that the significance value of the pulse rate for the active recovery group and the passive recovery group is 0.000 (sig < 0.05) and the calculated F value is 25.76 > F table 3.01 with a difference 14,500. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the effect of active recovery and passive recovery on the recovery pulse of the PSHT rayon GBI Surabaya pencak silat athletes.
