Effort to increase strength in the sport of weighlifting must have the correct exercise system and place. The pyramid training system is one of the exercise systems that is considered to have the best effect in increasing stregth. This study aims to find out the strength of the maximum bench press rep force in fitness beginner members before and after doing the pyramid exercise system. The research method used is to use an experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest desaign research design. The population in this study is a member of fitness beginners located in the Aska Gym & Fitness Center which amounts to 50 people. Sampling in this study using puposive sampling techniques, with criteria, namely as follows; (1)beginner members of Fitness Azka Fitness Centre, (2)male, (3)aged 17-25 years, and who meet the criteria amount to 5 people. The data collection technique used is pre-test and post-test the strength of the maximum rep force using a bench press tool. Research data is analyzed with the t test using the help of SPSS. The study was conducted for 6 weeks outside of pre-test and post-test. The results of this study can be concluded that bench press training using the pyramid system has a significant effect on the strength of the bench press mamaxium repetition force, in order to be more optimal the intensity of training 3 times per week can be increased 4 – 5 times per week
