Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Peminjaman Ruangan Berbasis Website Dengan Metode First In First Out (FIFO) Dan Time-Based Allocation (Studi Kasus Fakultas Vokasi Universitas Negeri Surabaya)

Abstract

The Faculty of Vocational Studies at Universitas Negeri Surabaya hosts various activities that require room reservations. However, the manual booking system often leads to inefficiencies such as overlapping reservations and delays in confirmation. To address these issues, a Web-Based Room Management Information System was developed using the Laravel framework. This system applies the First In First Out (FIFO) method to prioritize room bookings based on the order of submission and Time-Based Allocation to ensure that rooms are used according to the specified time duration.
The system was developed using Laravel, a PHP framework, and MySQL for Database management. The testing was conducted using the black box testing method to ensure that all system functionalities met User requirements. The results indicate that this system can minimize booking conflicts, improve operational efficiency, and provide greater transparency to Users. With this system, it is expected that the room reservation process at the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, will be more organized and efficient.
