PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN TIPE TALKING CHIPS TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA KOMPETENSI DASAR MEMAHAMI MODEL ATOM BAHAN SEMI KONDUKTOR DI SMK NEGERI 1 JETIS MOJOKERTO

Abstrak

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk mengetahui pengaruh model kooperatif tipe talking chips terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dan (untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking chips.

Metode penelitin yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut adalah metode penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah static group comparison, yang termasuk ke dalam kategori quasi experimental design. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking ships sedangakn untuk kelas control menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) berdasarkan hasil analisis skor posttest dengan menggunakan uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa skor dari kedua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen. (2) berdasarkan hasil analisis posttest menunjukkan bahwa t_hitung = 8,499 > t_tabel = 1,66 (α = 0,05) dengan rata-rata nilai dari kelas eksperimen sebesar 84.86 dan kelas control sebesar 76.80 menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking chips lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung. (3) respon isswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking chips menunjukkan respon positif dengan rata-rata sebesar 81.04 dan termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is : (1) to determine the effect of student learning outcomes using cooperative learning model Talking Chips, and (2) to determine students’ responses using cooperative learning model Talking Chips.

The method used to achieve that goal is an experimental research method. The study design used was Static Group Comparison, which includes the category of Quasi Experimental Design. Class experiments using cooperative learning model Talking Chips, where as for the control class using direct learning model.

The results was : (1) based on the results of the scores analysis posttest with test for normality and homogeneity obtained that two classes are normally distributed and homogeneous. (2) based on the analysis of the posttest with a test of analysis obtained t_count = 8,499 > t_table = 1,66 (α = 0,05) with the average value of posttest experimental class is 84,86 and control class is 76,80 indicated that is student learning outcomes that uses cooperative Talking Chips is batter than the student direct learning. (3) students’ responses to the application of cooperative learning model Talking Chips as a whole is positive with an average of 81,04% and includes a very good response criteria
