PENGARUH MODEL ACTIVE LEARNING DENGAN STRATEGI TEAM QUIZ TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR PADA STANDAR KOMPETENSI MELAKUKAN PEKERJAAN MEKANIK DASAR DI SMK NEGERI 5 SURABAYA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) apakah perangkat pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Active Learning dengan strategi Team Quiz layak untuk digunakan (2) apakah ada perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelas yang menggunakan model Active Learning dengan strategi Team Quiz dan pembelajaran konvensional, dan (3) bagaimana respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran model Active Learning dengan strategi Team Quiz.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental Design dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu “Static Group Comparison”. Pengambilan sampel tidak dilakukan secara random namun dipilih 2 kelas yakni kelas X TITL 1 sebanyak 34 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol yang diberikan pembelajaran model konvensional, dan kelas X TITL 2 sebanyak 35 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberikan pembelajaran model Active Learning dengan strategi Team Quiz. Perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dapat diketahui dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data uji-t dua pihak. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui respon siswa digunakan metode angket.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan pada model Active Learning dengan strategi Team Quiz mendapatkan hasil rating rata-rata sebesar 79,06%, sehingga perangkat pembelajaran dikategorikan layak untuk digunakan (2) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik yang menggunakan model Active Learning dengan strategi Team Quiz dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional yang ditunjukkan dari perolehan hasil uji-t dengan α = 5%, t_hitung =3,583 yang nilainya lebih besar dari t_tabel=1,67 dan perolehan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 84,71 dan kelas kontrol 78,62 (3) Selain itu, dari hasil respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran model Active Learning dengan strategi Team Quiz diperoleh hasil yang positif dengan prosentase hasil rating 85,14 %, hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran model Active Learning dengan strategi Team Quiz pada standar kompetensi melakukan pekerjaan mekanik dasar termasuk kategori senang/menarik bagi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to identify (1) whether the model of Active Learning with Team Quiz strategy is feasible to use (2) whether there are differences in learning outcomes between a class that used Active learning model with Team Quiz strategy and another class used conventional learning model, and (3) how the students response to the model of Active Learning with Team Quiz strategy.

This study uses Quasi Experimental. Design method with a research design that is used is “Static Group Comparison”. The sample wasn’t taken randomly but two classes were chosen which are Class X TITL 1 consists of 34 students as the control class is given conventional learning model, and Class X TITL 2 consists of 35 students as the experimental class is given Active Learning model with Team Quiz strategy. The differences of students learning outcomes can be determined by using t-test data analysis among two parties. Moreover, this study uses questionnaire to determine the students’ response.

The results of this study show that: (1) learning tools used in the model of Active Learning with Team Quiz strategy get the average rating is 79,05% which means that the learning tools are categorized as feasible to use (2) The students learning outcomes that were given the model of Active Learning with Team Quiz strategy differ significantly with the students learning outcomes given conventional method which is showed from the result of t-test was 3,583 which is higher than t_tabel 1,67, with α = 5% and the average students outcomes of experimental class was 84,71 and control class was 78,62 (3) Moreover, the result of students’ response to the model of Active Learning with Team Quiz strategy is positive with the percentage of rating result of 85,14 %, this result shows that this strategy is categorized as fun/interesting for students on standard competency of basic mechanical works.
