PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERDASARKAN MASALAH DENGAN STRATEGI MODELING THE WAY TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA STANDAR KOMPETENSI MEMPERBAIKI ALAT REPRODUKSI SINYAL AUDIO VIDEO CD DI SMK NEGERI 2 SURABAYA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengetahui apakah hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dengan strategi modeling the way lebih baik dibandingkan model pembelajaran langsung, (2) untuk mengetahui bagaimana respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dengan strategi modeling the way pada standar kompetensi memperbaiki alat reproduksi sinyal audio video CD.

Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Experimental Design) dengan rancangan Statistik Groups Comparison. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI TAV 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI TAV 2 sebagai kelas kontrol di SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya. Post-Test diberikan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan. Untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan, maka penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data menggunakan Uji-t. dan perhitungan HR terhadap lembar angket respon siswa yang diberikan pada akhir pembelajaran. Untuk mengetahui tingkat respon siswa.

Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh : (1) pada analisis Uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 5%  harga t_hitung = 2,78 lebih besar dari harga t_tabel = 1,67. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dengan strategi modeling the way lebih baik dibandingkan model pembelajaran langsung, hal ini terbukti hasil uji-t berada di daerah penolakan H₀ dan terima H₁; (2) siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dengan strategi modeling the way pada standar kompetensi memperbaiki alat reproduksi sinyal audio video CD player, hal ini dapat dilihat dari prosentase jawaban dari responden yang berjumlah 33 orang siswa dengan rata-rata hasil rating sebesar 67,16 %.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) ascertain if students’ learning outcome using learning model based on issue with modeling the way strategy is better than the direct learning model, (2) ascertain students’ response to the application of learning model based on issue with modeling the way strategy in the standard competence of repairing the reproduction tool of video CD’s audio signal.

This study is a type of Quasi Experimental Design with Statistics Group Comparison. The subjects of the research are students of XI TAV 1 class as experiment class and XI TAV 2 as control class in SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya. Post-test is given to discover students’ learning outcome after they are given the Treatment. In order to obtain the data, the researcher uses the technique of data analysis by t-test and HR calculation for student response’s questionnaire sheets given in the end of learning to know students’ responses.

The results of the study suggest that: (1) in the analysis of t-test with significant standard of 5%, the price of t = 2,78 is higher than the price table = 1,67. From the result, I conclude that the learning outcome of students using modeling the way strategy is better than using direct learning model. It is proven in the t-test result being in the H0 of resistance and H1 of acceptance; (2) the students give positive response to the learning model based on issue with modeling the way strategy in the standard competence of repairing the reproduction tool of video CD player’s audio signal. It is shown in the percentage of the answers of 33 students with the average rating of 67,16%.
