PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X TAV PADA STANDAR KOMPETENSI MELAKUKAN INSTALASI SOUND SYSTEM DI SMK NEGERI 2 SURABAYA

Abstract

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada standar kompetensi melakukan instalasi sound system. (2) Mengetahui respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Discovery Learning.

Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Metode Quasi Experimental Design menggunakan desain Posttest Only Control Group Design di mana terdapat kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan kelas kontrol dengan model pembelajaran langsung, yang selanjutnya diberikan Posttest untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa setelah diberi perlakuan yang berbeda. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X AV1 dan X AV2 SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya tahun ajaran 2013/2014.

Dari hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran langsung dengan perolehan uji-t yakni t_hitung 3,291 > t_tabel 1,99, dan dengan rincian nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 80,176 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 76,083. (2) Hasil angket respon siswa menunjukkan Hasil Rating sebesar 77,39%. Dari kriteria penentuan prosentase rating penilaian kualitatif maka respon siswa diketegorikan baik terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning.

Abstract

The study aims to: (1) Determine the influence of learning model Discovery Learning the student learning outcomes in competency standards installation sound system. (2) Knowing the students response to the learning model Discovery Learning.

The method used in this research is Quasi Experimental Design used design is the Only Posttest Control Group Design, where experiment there are classes with model Discovery Learning and control class with direct instruction learning is further given Posttest to determine student learning outcomes after different treatments are given. The target of this research is class X AV 1 and X AV 2 State SMK 2 of Surabaya academic year 2013/2014.

From the research results obtained, indicate that: (1) The results of student learning with models Discovery Learning higher than direct instruction learning with the acquisition t-test is t_count 3,291 > t_table 1,99, with details of the average value of the experimental class 80,176 and the average value of the control class 76,083. (2) The results of student questionnaire responses indicate Rating Result of 77,39 %. Of criteria for determining the percentage of the qualitative appraisal rating categorized good student response to the application of the learning of models Discovery Learning.
