PROSES BERPIKIR SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR DALAM ESTIMASI HITUNG PECAHAN

Estimasi berhitung adalah perkiraan mendekati hasil penghitungan atau gambaran hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan alasan dan metode informal, yaitu metode yang tidak terkait dengan algoritma, tetapi dengan suatu kepekaan/pemahaman intuitif dan tidak terikat ke satu metode. Proses berpikir dimaknai sebagai aktivitas kognitif atau mental dalam melakukan estimasi pada saat memecahkan masalah berhitung pecahan dengan aktivitas melalui proses asimilasi dan akomodasi. Asimilasi adalah proses pengintegrasian secara langsung stimulus baru ke dalam skema yang telah ada, sedangkan akomodasi merupakan proses pengintegrasian stimulus baru melalui pengubahan skema lama atau pembentukan skema baru untuk menyesuaikan dengan stimulus yang diterima. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir siswa sekolah dasar dalam melakukan estimasi hitung pecahan. Jenis estimasi yang sering dipakai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari antara lain estimasi numerasi, estimasi berhitung dan estimasi pengukuran. Prosedur dalam pemecahan masalah hitung pecahan ini menggunakan kajian Polya, yaitu ada empat langkah/tahap, dimulai memahami masalah (understand the problem), membuat perencanaan (device a plan), melakukan perancanaan (device a plan) dan pengecekan kembali hasil yang telah dilakukan (carry out the plan).

Abstract

The estimation count is the result of estimate approach or description of result the calculation using reason and informal methods, that is methods that are not associated with the algorithm, but with a sensitivity or understanding of intuitive and not tied to a single method. The thought process is defined as a cognitive or estimate of mental activity fractions when problem solving math with activity through the process of assimilation and accommodation. Assimilation is the process of integrate new stimulus directly into the existing scheme, while accommodation is the process of integrated a new stimulus through the conversion of the old scheme or the formation of a new scheme to adapt the stimulus received. The aims of  journal is describe the thought processes of primary school students in estimating fractional count. The Types of estimates are often used in everyday life such as numeracy estimation, estimation of arithmetic and estimation of measurement. The procedures in this fractional arithmetic problem solving using Polya study, there are four steps, understand the problem, device a plan, and carry out the plan.
