Mechanical engineering students at Unesa still face difficulties in relating the concept of casting to real-life applications in product manufacturing due to the lack of specific teaching materials related to the industry. This research aims to develop a handout on aluminum craftsmanship by synchronizing theoretical concepts from textbooks with industrial realities. The research adopts a research and development approach using the 4D development model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The handout's trial is conducted online via Google Meet, involving 7 mechanical engineering students from Unesa as research subjects. The data analysis technique involves distributing expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and student learning interest surveys conducted after the handout trial. The research results indicate that the handout, as evaluated by experts, received scores of 0.7 for content, 0.823 for media, and 0.527 for language, with an average score of 0.68, indicating good expert validity. In the handout trial involving 7 students, the average student response score was 93%, categorized as excellent, and the average student learning interest score was 88%, indicating a high level of interest. Consequently, it can be concluded that the handout is suitable for student learning.
