KONTRIBUSI DUA KOMPONEN FISIK YAITU OTOT TUNGKAI DAN OTOT PUNGGU TERHADAP CAPAIAN LUNCURAN START PADA ATLET GAYA PUNGGUNG

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain the magnitude of the contribution of the explosive power of the leg muscles and the strength of the back muscles in the backstroke launch. 8 athletes aged 14-17 years participated in this study, namely 4 female athletes and 4 male athletes. They are all athletes who have the same specialty, namely backstroke athletes. The measurement of the explosive power was using a horizontal jump, while the leg muscle strength used a leg dynamo meter and the backstroke start test to see the start achievement. Simple linear regression test is used in describing the contribution of each variable. From the statistical test results obtained 43% contribution of leg muscle explosive power and 33% back muscle strength. The conclusion of backstroke splash performance is determined by several other factors that need to be examined again such as flexibility of both legs and back. Research in obtaining indicators of positive glide achievement at the start of the backward force is still not clear, so it is still necessary to re-conduct research by including more variables as well as additional biomechanical measurements.
