IDENTIFICATION OF SUPPORTING FACTORS AND INHIBITING FACTORS THE ACHIEVEMENT OF GYMNASTICS ATHLETES AT THE EAST JAVA PROVINCE

Abstract
Gymnastics is a leading sport in every province, especially East Java, because it has the opportunity to get the most medals at the National Sports Week (PON). According to Djoko Irianto (2002: 08) "To achieve achievement is a multi-complex effort that involves both internal and external factors, the quality of training is the main support for achieving sports achievement, while the quality of the training itself is supported by internal factors, namely the ability of athletes (talent and motivation). as well as external factors, namely encouragement from outside ". Based on the explanation above about several factors that can support and hinder achievement, the researcher made a study entitled "Identification of Supporting Factors and Inhibiting Factors of Achievement of East Java Pustlada Gymnastics Athletes". The research objective in conducting this research was to identify and identify the supporting factors and inhibiting factors for East Java pustlada gymnastics athletes.
This research is a descriptive survey research with a non-experimental quantitative approach. This study discusses "Identification of Supporting Factors and Inhibiting Factors of Achievement of East Java Pustlada Gymnastics Athletes". Based on the results of the research, the Athlete Factor has a total percentage of coach respondents, a percentage of the athlete's factor supporting achievement is 53% and an inhibitor is 47% In the coach factor with the athlete respondent, the percentage of the performance supporting coach factor was 54% and the inhibitor was 46%. Facility and infrastructure factors for supporting factors for athletes amounted to 63% and 37% for inhibiting factors, while for coaches for supporting factors amounted to 54% and inhibiting factors amounted to 46%. Environmental factors for supporting factors for athletes amounted to 58% and 42% for inhibiting factors, while for coaches for supporting factors amounted to 61% and inhibiting factors amounted to 39%.
