AGILITY LADDER DRILL EXERCISE IN FOOTBALL TO IMPROVE AGILITY

Abstract

Football is the most popular sport in the world. In addition to being a showpiece event, football is also an entertainment for its players. To be able to play optimally, the player is required to have good physical condition, skills and tactics, one of which is by practicing agility. The problem faced by athletes is that the agility-related exercises seem monotonous so that the athletes / players are bored and not maximal in training. As a result the agility of the footballers is not good. So there needs to be a new variation in the exercise as well as ladder drill exercises that have some variations to train agility of the body. The purpose of this study is to describe some agility ladder drill based on previous studies to give some picture of the results of ladder drill exercises in improving agility of the body. This study uses qualitative descriptive research type, so it does not display statistical data, but instead collects data and then interprets it. The results showed that ladder drill exercise gives significant results on the agility of the body. Increasing agility requires training 8-12 times a meeting that is a range of 3-6 weeks.
