RESILIENSI ATLET KONI JAWA TIMUR TERHADAP TINGKAT KECEMASAN PASCA CEDERA

Abstract

Resilience is a person's ability to rise to face and overcome dangerous and threatening situations through defense through their abilities and the process of adjusting positively and flexibly to changes from stressful experiences. This study aims to describe the resilience of KONI (Indonesian National Athletic Committee) East Java athletes to post-injury anxiety levels. The method used is a survey with data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires (questionnaires) to East Java KONI athletes who experience injuries at moderate to severe levels. The sampling technique used purposive sample technique with a sample of 42 athletes. The data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study obtained that the resilience questionnaire instrument and anxiety level can be concluded valid. The percentage of resilience obtained results in very high criteria obtained 10%, high criteria obtained 19%, sufficient criteria obtained 26%, low criteria obtained 40%, and very low criteria obtained 5%. The percentage of anxiety level obtained results in very high criteria obtained 9%, high criteria obtained 17%, sufficient criteria obtained 40%, low criteria obtained 24%, and very low criteria obtained 10%. Based on data analysis and discussion of the research results, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between resilience and anxiety in athletes who experience injuries. The majority of athletes with low levels of resilience also experience high levels of anxiety.
