SURVEI STATUS GROSS MOTOR SKILL PADA SISWA KELAS RENDAH SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI SE-KECAMATAN TAJINAN KABUPATEN MALANG

Abstract

The background of this research is to find out the results of gross motor skills in low grade students of public elementary schools accredited A in Tajinan District, Malang Regency through the test of gross motor development-2 (TGMD-2), because there is no research data regarding the results of gross motor skills in learners. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of gross motor skills possessed by students aged 7-9 years, with samples used by students aged 7 to 9 years. This type of research uses a survey approach technique and a quantitative descriptive research design. By using the gross motor skills test-2 (TGMD-2), this research tool is used to determine the level of gross motor skills of elementary school students. A total of 179 students were selected as samples using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling procedure, and the number of study samples was calculated using the Slovin formula. From the presentation of the data above, it can be concluded that data collection obtained the final results which showed that gross motor skills in low grade students were in the less category with a score of 77.8715. Based on the findings of this study, parents and elementary school educators at SDN Tajinan District, Malang Regency, focus more on learning strategies or models that can motivate children to improve their gross motor skills.
