ANALISIS KONDISI FISIK ATLET KURASH PUSLATDA JAWA TIMUR

Kurash is included in the martial arts branch carried out by 2 people. This sport requires physical conditions, including strength, speed, power, flexibility, and endurance. This study examines the physical condition of kurash athletes at the East Java Puslatda. The inability of athletes to maintain optimal physical condition, as well as the lack of control of coaches when supervising, will have an impact on the decline in athletes' performance. This quantitative descriptive research uses data collection techniques through direct observation of events or objects. Data were collected through five tests: 1) Strength test with sit up, 2) speed test with 20 meter sprint, 3) flexibility with sit and reach, 4) strength test with side jump, 5) endurance test with MFT. The results showed that the excellent category had a mean of strength of 71.11%, speed of 107.44%, flexibility of 87.77%, and durability of 79.8%. To achieve optimal performance in training, preparation for physical condition is essential. Coaches are expected to always be able to control and supervise the importance of maintaining the physical condition of athletes, either directly or indirectly, athletes continue to practice consistently to maintain ideal physical condition and discipline. Because this physical condition will have an impact on the performance of athletes and their respective body parts.
