EFEKTIVITAS LATIHAN PLYOMETRICS DAN LATIHAN SPRINT TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KECEPATAN PADA SISWI SMPN 02 TUBAN

Kecepatan memainkan peran penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan dalam olahraga. Kecepatan lari sangat ditentukan oleh bentuk lari, karena menentukan pergerakan tubuh sebagai fungsi waktu dan ruang melalui langkah diagonal dan siklis pada tungkai bawah. Dalam beberapa observasi, menunjukan bahwasanya terlepas dari karakter permainan dan pertandingan dalam sebuah cabang olahraga tertentu. Kecepatan menjadi sebuah kunci untuk menorehkan prestasi dalam olahraga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kefektifan Latihan plyometrics dan Latihan sprint, serta seberapa signifikan peningkatan kecepatan pada siswi SMP Negeri 2 Tuban setelah mendapatkan latihan tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai dengan bulan Maret 2024 selama 5 (lima) minggu atau 12 (dua belas) kali pertemuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penlitian berjenis kuntitatif (quasi experimental design– pretest-posttest control group design) menggunakan 40 (empat puluh) siswi sebagai subjek penelitian yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Berlandaskan pada hasil penelitian ini, terdapat peningkatan sebesar 3 % setelah melakukan program latihan plyometrics dan latihan sprint yang mana dapat terlihat pada hasil pre-test 4,99 detik > post-test 4,84 detik. Untuk hasil peningkatan kecepatan yang maksimal, jangka waktu pemberian perlakuan bisa lebih lama lagi di penelitian selanjutnya.
