PENGARUH LATIHAN STAIR RUNNING DAN TWO FOOT STAIR HOP TERHADAP KEKUATAN (STRENGTH) DAN KECEPATAN SISWA EKTRAKURIKULER SMK NEGERI 13 SURABAYA

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of stair running and two foot stair hop training on the strength and speed of extracurricular students of SMK Negeri 13 Surabaya. The research method used was quantitative research with a two group pre-test post-test experimental design. The population consisted of 20 students. The sample was selected using ordinal pairing, which is useful for dividing students into two group with same ability with 10 students each. We analyzed the data using paired sample t-test to determine the results of the two groups undergoing stair running and two foot stair hop training. The results of this study showed that the sig 2 (tailed) value was 0.001 < 0.05 for speed and 0.00 < 0.05 for strength. As for the two foot stair hop group, the sig. 2 (tailed) of 0.003 < 0.005 for speed and 0.00 < 0.005 for strength, so the hypothesis is accepted. These results indicate that there is a significant effect of stair running and two foot stair hop training on the strength and speed of extracurricular students of SMK Negeri 13 Surabaya.
