PENGARUH LATIHAN WEIGHT VEST TERHADAP KECEPATAN PEMAIN SEPAK BOLA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh latihan menggunakan weight vest terhadap peningkatan kecepatan pemain sepak bola. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest–posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 10 pemain sepak bola yang dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan kriteria inklusi tertentu. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 minggu dengan 12 sesi latihan menggunakan weight vest dengan beban 12% dari berat badan. Instrumen pengukuran yang digunakan adalah 20 meter sprint test untuk mengukur kecepatan akselerasi dan 505 change of direction (COD) test untuk mengukur kemampuan perubahan arah. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro–Wilk dan paired sample t-test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata 20 meter sprint menurun dari 3.51 ± 0.11 detik menjadi 2.44 ± 0.16 detik, sedangkan nilai 505 COD menurun dari 3.21 ± 0.12 detik menjadi 2.30 ± 0.20 detik. Uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada kedua variabel dengan nilai signifikansi p < 0.05. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan menggunakan weight vest berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kecepatan sprint dan kemampuan change of direction pada pemain sepak bola. Metode latihan ini dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam program latihan kondisi fisik untuk meningkatkan performa kecepatan pemain.
