REALITAS KEHIDUPAN PESANTREN DALAM NOVEL ZALZALAHKARYA MASHDAR ZAINAL (KAJIAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA)

Abstract

ABSTRACT
Novel Zalzalah created by Mashdar Zainal work is a novel depicting the realities of schools, especially schools in rural
nganjuk. Social reality contained in this novel, among others: (1) the reality of kiai leadership authority, (2) the reality
of submissive attitude, respect, and low self-esteem to the scholars, (3) the reality of friendship, (4) the reality
competition, (5) the reality of romance (6) the reality of the soul of sincerity, (7) the reality of the soul of simplicity, (8)
reality of the soul ukhuwah Islamiah (9) reality of the spirit of independence. In this novel also find the values of
wisdom, among others: (1) the value of ethics, (2) aesthetic value, (3) the value of religion, and (4) social value. In
addition to the social and moral values, in this novel are also found social norms. Norms are: (1) religious norms, (2)
obscenity, (3) religious norms, and (4) the rule of law. Norms is a tool to maintain the values of the pesantren
community. Based on analyzing the novel that the author's work entitled Zalzalah Mashdar Zainal using sociological
study of literature and try connecting to the boarding school in the real world. Furthermore, the studies in this research
are: (1) the study of the social reality in schools in the novel Zalzalah Zainal Mashdar work, (2) The study of social
values in schools in the novel Zalzalah Zainal Mashdar work, (3) Assessing the social norms schools in the novel
Zalzalah Mashdar work Zainal, and (4) The study of the relationship of social reality, social values, and social norms in
the novel with the social reality, social values, and social norms that exist in real schools. In connection with the
analysis of this study can be suggested that this analysis can be used for learning literature.

Abstrak
Novel Zalzalah karya Mashdar Zainal adalah novel yang menggambarkan realitas kehidupan pesantren, terutama
pesantren yang berada di daerah nganjuk. Realitas sosial yang terdapat dalam novel ini antara lain: (1) realitas
kewibawaan kepemimpinan kiai, (2) realitas sikap patuh, hormat, dan rendah diri kepada kiai, (3) realitas persahabatan,
(4) realitas persaingan, (5) realitas percintaan (6) realitas jiwa keikhlasan, (7) realitas jiwa kesederhanaan, (8) relitas
jiwa ukhuwah islamiah (9) relitas jiwa kemandirian. Dalam novel ini juga dapat ditemukan nilai-nilai kearifan, antara
lain: (1) nilai etika, (2) nilai estetika, (3) nilai agama, dan (4) nilai sosial. Selain realitas sosial dan nilai kearifan
tersebut, dalam novel ini juga ditemukan norma-norma sosial. Norma norma tersebut adalah: (1) norma agama, (2)
norma kesusilaan, (3) norma agama, dan (4) norma hukum. Norma-norma tersebut merupakan alat untuk
mempertahankan nilai-nilai dalam masyarakat pesantren. Berdasarkan hal itulah penulis menganalisis novel yang
berjudul Zalzalah karya Mashdar Zainal dengan menggunakan kajian sosiologi sastra dan mencoba menghubungkan
dengan pesantren dalam dunia nyata. Selanjutnya yang menjadi kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) telaah realitas
sosial di pesantren dalam novel Zalzalah karya Mashdar Zainal, (2) Telaah nilai-nilai sosial di pesantren dalam novel
Zalzalah karya Mashdar Zainal, (3) Telaah norma-norma sosial di pesantren dalam novel Zalzalah karya Mashdar
Zainal, dan (4) Telaah hubungan realitas sosial, nilai-nilai sosial, dan norma-norma sosial dalam novel dengan realitas
sosial, nilai-nilai sosial, dan norma-norma sosial yang ada dalam pesantren secara nyata. Sehubungan dengan analisis
kajian ini dapat disarankan bahwa analisis ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pembelajaran sastra.
