MITOS BUDAYA POSMODERN DALAM NOVEL HUJAN BULAN JUNI KARYA SAPARDI DJOKO DAMONO

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk, mitos-mitos, dan relasi antara budaya modern dan budaya posmodern dalam novel Hujan Bulan Juni Karya Sapardi Djoko Damono. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan pragmatik, sedangkan teori yang digunakan adalah semiologi (mitologi) Roland Barthes guna menemukan struktur budaya modern dan budaya posmodern sekaligus membongkar mitos yang menandai struktur tersebut, serta menggunakan kajian posmodernisme dalam perspektif Jean-François Lyotard untuk menegaskan budaya modern dan budaya posmodern, sehingga kedua kajian yang digunakan sebagai alat bedah menghasilkan adanya pergeseran mitos kebudayaan modern menuju posmodern, seperti makna intelektualitas yang tidak harus berkaitan dengan kecerdasan kognitif, pernikahan hanya merupakan mitos tradisional, dan identitas yang fleksibel.

This research aims to describe forms, myths, and relations of modern and postmodern culture in Hujan Bulan Juni’s novel by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The method in this research is qualitative with a pragmatic approach. The theory that used is Semiology (mythology) Roland Barthes to uncover the structure of modern and postmodern culture while at the same time exposing the myths that mark the structure, and using the study of postmodernism in Jean-François Lyotards perspective to emphasize modern culture and postmodern culture, so that both studies which are used as surgical instruments produce a shift in the myth of modern culture towards postmodern, such as intellectual meaning that does not have to be related to cognitive intelligence, marriage is only a traditional myth, and flexible identity.
