REPRESENTASI PEREMPUAN DALAM NOVEL AROMA KARSA KARYA DEE LESTARI KAJIAN SEMIOLOGI ROLAND BARTHES

Abstract

Penelitian berjudul Representasi Perempuan dalam Novel Aroma Karsa karya Dee Lestari Kajian: Semiologi Roland Barthes ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui representasi perempuan modern melalui beberapa tokoh perempuan pada novel dengan menggunakan analisis semiologi Roland Barthes dengan dua tahap yaitu tahapan denotasi dan konotasi di dalamnya. Dari beberapa data kutipan novel tersebut ditemukan 34 kutipan yang peneliti anggap lebih kuat menggambarkan karakter perempuan modern dalam Novel Aroma Karsa melalui beberapa tokoh perempuan. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode kualitatif dengan analisis semiologi Roland Barthes dengan signifikasi dua tahap, yaitu secara tataran denotasi dan secara tataran konotasi. Melalui analisis tersebut dapat diketahui hasil representasi perempuan adalah cerdas, pemberani, pekerja keras dan kuat.

Abstract

The research entitled Representation of Women in the Novel Aroma Karsa by Dee Lestari Study: Semiology of Roland Barthes aims to determine the representation of modern women through several female figures in the novel by using Roland Barthess semiological analysis with two stages: denotation and connotation stages in it. From some of the novels excerpt data found 34 quotations which researchers consider more strongly describe the character of modern women in the Novel Aroma Karsa through several female figures. The research method used is a qualitative method with Roland Barthess semiological analysis with the significance of two stages, namely at the level of denotation and at the level of connotation. Through this analysis, it can be seen that women are intelligent, brave, hardworking and strong.
