FUNGSI LATAR TEMPAT PADA SHIMAMURA 『島村』DALAM NOVEL YUKIGUNI 『雪国』KARYA KAWABATA YASUNARI （川端康成）

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang fungsi latar tempat pada Shimamura dalam novel Yukiguni. Latar tempat yang terdapat dalam novel Yukiguni memiliki beberapa jenis latar yang berbeda-beda. Antara lain jenis latar tempat yang dikenal, tempat tak dikenal dan tempat khayalan .
Latar tempat yang terdapat dalam novel Yukiguni memiliki beberapa jenis latar yang berbeda-beda. Antara lain di daerah salju, penginapan, kereta api dan hutan. Shimamura merupakan salah satu tokoh utama yang mempunyai peranan penting dalam novel Yukiguni sehingga peneliti menggunakan tokoh Shimamura sebagai salah satu objek penelitian. Adapun rumusan permasalahan yang peneliti ajukan yaitu sebagai berikut:
Bagaimana latar tempat dalam novel Yukiguni『雪国』karya Kawabata Yasunari (川端康成) dan bagaimana fungsi latar tempat pada Shimamura『島村』dalam novel Yukiguni『雪国』karya Kawabata Yasunari (川端康成).
Data penelitian berjumlah 18 data, berupa penggalan kalimat mengenai jenis latar tempat dan fungsi latar tempat pada tokoh Shimamura 『島村』, yang diambil dari novel Yukiguni 『雪国』karya Kawabata Yasunari『川端康成』.
