Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai dari feminisme liberal melalui tokoh utama wanita yang terdapat dalam film A Tale of Three Cities. Feminisme liberal sendiri merupakan salah satu dari cabang pergerakan feminisme yang berorientasi pada kesetaraan pendidikan, ekonomi dan hak sipil bagi wanita. Peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti film A Tale of Three Cities dengan menggunakan perspektif feminisme liberal dikarenakan dalam film tersebut sosok tokoh utama wanita digambarkan memiliki karakter yang mencerminkan wanita modern yang sangat berbeda dengan stereotip wanita tradisional Tiongkok ditengah budaya patriarki. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif.. Untuk mendukung keberhasilan penelitian, peneliti menggunakan teori Tong untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai feminise liberal dalam film A Tale of Three Cities. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang mengandung nilai-nilai dari feminisme liberal. Berdasarkan data penelitian tersebut, maka metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, hasil dari penelitian ini menunujukan adanya nilai-nilai feminisme liberal pada film A Tale of Three Cities. Pada Film A Tale of Three Cities, peneliti menemukan 15 konten dari 3 konsep feminisme liberal. Konsep feminisme liberal yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah feminisme liberal di bidang hak sipil. Hasil dari data menujukan sebanyak 11 konten merupakan konsep feminisme liberal di bidang hak sipil, 3 konten merupakan konsep feminisme liberal di bidang ekonomi dan 2 konten merupakan konsep feminisme liberal di bidang pendidikan.

Abstract The study aims to describe the values of liberal feminism through the female main character in the film A Tale of Three Cities. Liberal feminism itself is one of the branches of feminism that is oriented towards the equality of education, economics and civil rights for women. Researchers are interested in researching the film A Tale of Three Cities using the perspective of liberal feminism because in the film the heroines main figure is portrayed as having a character that reflects a very different modern woman with stereotypes of traditional Chinese women amid patriarchy culture. In this research researchers use a type of descriptive research. To support the success of the research, researchers used Tongs theory to analyse the values of liberal feminise in the film A Tale of Three Cities. The Data used in this study are words, phrases, and sentences that contain the values of liberal feminism. Based on the research data, the method used is qualitative. In accordance with the research objectives, the results of the study demonstrated the existence of liberal feminism values in the film A Tale of Three Cities. In the Film A Tale of Three Cities, researchers found 15 content of the 3 concepts of liberal feminism. The concept of liberal feminism is the most widely found liberal feminism in the field of civil rights. The result of 11 content data is the concept of liberal feminism in the field of civil rights, 3 content is a concept of liberal feminism in economics and 2 content is a concept of liberal feminism in education.
