KONFLIK BATIN JIANG LIWEI DALAM FILM THE BRAVEST 《烈火英雄》 KARYA TONY CHAN (KAJIAN PSIKOLOGI SASTRA)

Film yang memiliki keunggulan di bidang audio-visual dapat menggambarkan suatu peristiwa dengan jelas. Sebuah film pasti menggambarkan peristiwa demi peristiwa yang akan diperankan oleh tokoh sehingga akan membentuk sebuah alur cerita yang akan membentuk sebuah konflik. Konflik dalam film memiliki daya tarik tersendiri bagi penikmat film. Terdapat berbagai macam teori yang digunakan dalam meneliti konflik dalam cerita, terutama dalam meneliti konflik batin. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini meliputi bentuk konflik batin, faktor penyebab konflik batin, dan cara mengatasi konflik batin tokoh dan tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk konflik batin, faktor penyebab konflik batin, dan cara mengatasi konflik batin tokoh dalam film The Bravest 《烈火英雄》karya Tony Chan.

Penelitian ini termasuk dalam kajian psikologi sastra yang meneliti konflik batin dan menggunakan teori Kurt Lewin. Selain itu, peneliti juga menggunakan teori Johnson dalam menyelesaikan konflik batin. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak bebas libat cakap dan teknik catat. Data penelitian ini berupa monolog, dialog, ekspresi, dan tingkah laku tokoh yang akan diaplikasikan sesuai dengan teori yang digunakan.

Hasil penelitian adalah ditemukan tiga bentuk konflik batin yaitu dalam film The Bravest 《烈火英雄》karya Tony Chan bentuk konflik mendekat-mendekat, konflik menjauh-menjauh, dan konflik mendekat-menjauh. Bentuk konflik batin yang sering muncul adalah konflik menjauh-menjauh. Ditemukan lima faktor penyebab konflik batin dalam penelitian ini, yaitu kekuatan pendorong, kekuatan penghambat, kekuatan kebutuhan pribadi, kekuatan pengaruh, dan kekuatan non-manusia. Faktor penyebab konflik batin yang sering muncul dalam penelitian ini adalah faktor kekuatan kebutuhan pribadi dan kekuatan non-manusia. Ditemukan empat cara mengatasi konflik, yaitu gaya kura-kura, gaya ikan hiu, gaya kancil, dan gaya rubah. Cara mengatasi konflik batin yang sering muncul adalah gaya ikan hiu.

Movies that excelled in the field of audio-visual can portray its events clearly. Assuredly, a movie depicts event by event that will be played by the character which then creates a storyline that forms a conflict. The conflict itself has its own attractiveness for the movie lovers. There are various theories that can be used in investigating the conflicts in a story, especially in the inner conflicts side. The research questions in this study covered the inner conflict models, its causative factor, and the ways to overcome it. This study aimed to describe those aspects in The Bravest 《烈火英雄》 movie by Tony Chan.

This research belonged to psychological review of literature that examined the inner conflicts by using Kurt Lewin’s theory. Besides, Johnson’s theory was also used in solving the inner conflicts. This research was a qualitative descriptive study that used proficient limate-free look uninvolved conversation observation and note taking as the techniques. The data of this study were in the form of monologue, dialogue, expression, and character’s act that will be applied based on the theory used.

The result of the study revealed three inner conflicts models in The Bravest 《烈火英雄》 movie by Tony Chan; those were approach-approach conflict, avoidance-avoidance conflict, and approach-avoidance conflict. From these inner conflict models, the one that appeared most often was avoidance-avoidance conflict. This study found five factors in causing the inner conflicts in the movie; the driving force, the restraining force, forces corresponding to a person’s needs, induced force, and impersonal force. However, forces corresponding to a person’s needs and impersonal force were the factors that emerged frequently. Then, this study also revealed four ways in handling the conflicts, namely the turtle style, shark style, deer style, and fox style. From those styles, the one that often arose was the shark style.
