Deiksis merupakan bentuk penunjukan melalui bahasa.
Deiksis memiliki rujukan yang tidak tetap, bergantung
pada penutur, lawan tutur, situasi, konteks, waktu, dan
tempat yang terjadi dalam peristiwa tutur. Penelitian
“Deiksis dalam Lirik Lagu Album ‘City Zoo’ 《摩天动
物园》mótiān dòngwùyuán karya G.E.M (Get Everybody
Moving)” ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji jenis deiksis
dan makna referen deiksis dari 13 lirik lagu dalam
album tersebut. Album yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini dirilis pada Desember 2019 . Peneliti
menggunakan album tersebut karena terdapat
penggunaan kata yang mengandung deiksis dalam
liriknya. Jenis deiksis diteliti menggunakan teori deiksis
Levinson, sedangkan makna referen deiksis diteliti
menggunakan teori Cruse. Jenis penelitian dan
pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif.
Data yang diperoleh berupa kata dan kalimat yang
mengandung deiksis dalam lirik lagu, dengan hasil

yang diperoleh sejumlah 538 data jenis deiksis dan 538
data makna referen deiksis. Metode pengumpulan data
yang digunakan adalah teknik SBLC (Simak Bebas Libat
Cakap) serta teknik catat. Hasil dari penelitian ini
adalah sebagai berikut : (1) terdapat lima jenis deiksis
yang ditemukan dalam penelitian, yaitu: deiksis
persona, deiksis waktu, deiksis tempat, deiksis wacana,
dan deiksis sosial; (2) terdapat tiga makna referen
deiksis yang ditemukan dalam penelitian, yaitu:
referensi takrif, referensi tak takrif, dan referensi
generik.

Abstract
Deixis is a form of designation through language.Deixis
has a reference that is not fixed, depending on the speaker,
the interlocutor, the situation, context, time, and place that
occurs in the speech event.The research “Deixis in the
Lyrics of Album Song 'City Zoo' 《摩天动物园》mótiān
dòngwùyuán by G.E.M (Get Everybody Moving)" aims to
examine the types of deixis and the meaning of deixis
referents from 13 song lyrics in the album.The album used
in this study was released in December 2019.Researchers
use the album because there are words that contain deixis
in the lyrics.The type of deixis was studied using
Levinson's deixis theory, while the referent meaning of
deixis was studied using Cruse's theory.The type of
research and the approach used is descriptive
qualitative.The data obtained are in the form of words and
sentences containing deixis in song lyrics, with the results
obtained are 538 types of deixis data and 538 deixis

the SBLC (Listen Free Libat Cakap) technique and notetaking technique.The results of this study are as follows: (1)
there are five types of deixis found in the study, namely:
person deixis, time deixis, place deixis, discourse deixis,
and social deixis;(2) there are three meanings of deixis
referents found in the study, namely: definitional reference,
undefined reference, and generic reference.
