ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DRAINAGE IN REDUCE FLOOD IN SETTLEMENT AREA

Abstract

The development in the Gresik Regency area is quite fast, in terms of trade and industry, resulting in an
increasing population growth. Impact on socio-economic and cultural changes as well as their interactions
with other cities in the surrounding area. The intensity of development in the city is increasing, causing the
need for land for residential development to increase. Housing is increasingly needed which results in dense
settlements. The impact that arises with this is a solution to the inundation that occurs in housing. This
research uses a case study of Green Menganti housing using infiltration well planning. The results of the
infiltration well planning obtained the dimensions of the wells with a diameter of 3 m and a depth of 4 m
with a total of 34 infiltration wells. 34 infiltration planning wells on the land of Green Menganti Housing,
Menganti District, Gresik Regency, it will be able to cope with inundation that occurs during the rainy
season.
The results of planning for biopore infiltration holes obtained dimensions with a diameter of 10 cm (0.1 m)
and a depth of 100 cm (1 m) with a total of 37 biopore infiltration holes with a distance of 15,25 meters. 37
biopore planning infiltration holes can protect the groundwater system at Green Menganti Housing,
Menganti District, Gresik Regency.
