COMPARISON OF THE USE OF PCI-GIRDER H-125 IN BRIDGE SUPERSTRUCTURE

Abstract

Sine Bridge is a pre-stressed concrete bridge consisting of 4 spans, one of which is the A1-P1 span measuring 21.70m which based on the Bridge Product catalog uses the upper structure in the form of PCI-Girder type H-125cm. Bridge Product owned by PT X has PCI-Girder H-125cm dimensions that are quite different at the top (flange) compared to Bridge Product owned by PT Y. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of using PCI-Girder H-125cm between Bridge Product owned by PT X and Bridge Product owned by PT Y. The comparison results show that the PCI-Girder H-125cm produced by PT Y is more effective than the production of PT X because it has a greater internal force value, a 7% more efficient strand count, a smaller prestress loss value of 1.026%, and a smaller deflection value of 35% with a smaller chamber value of 10%. In addition, PT Y is also better at resisting shear loads with a ratio of 0.993, but in resisting flexural loads PT X is better with a ratio of 0.936.
