COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BEARING CAPACITY OF PILE AND BORED PILE FOUNDATIONS

This research analyzed bearing capacity of the Ulul Azmi Mosque renovation project at UNAIR, which used two types of foundations pile foundations and bored piles. The soil test that used was Standard Penetration Test (SPT). In this research, analysis was using two methods: manual calculations and analysis using Allpile software. The manual calculations used theory of Luciano Decourt, Mayerhoff, Reese & Wright. The results of this research analysis compared the two methods used. The smallest percentage of the difference in comparison for the 25 cm × 25 cm piles foundation was the Mayerhoff method at 12.52%, and for 30 cm × 30 cm piles was the Mayerhoff method at 9.24%. Meanwhile, for the Ø40 cm bored piles, the Luciano Decourt method had the smallest difference percentage at 6.01%, and for the Ø50 cm bored piles, the Reese & Wright method was 2.86%. The difference of bearing capacity values could be caused by several things, including the different calculation methods used, the type and size of the foundation used, and the variables that used between manual calculations and Allpile software were different.
