FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PEMILIHAN JENIS KENDARAAN SISWA SMA NEGERI 5 SURABAYA KE SEKOLAH

Kemacetan lalu lintas di Surabaya dipengaruhi oleh berbagai aktivitas masyarakat khususnya pengguna kendaraan pribadi. Keberadaan angkutan umum diharapkan menjadi solusi kemacetan, yang mana sebagian besar angkutan umum memiliki rute melewati pusat kota. Pengguna kendaraan pribadi sering dijumpai pada anak sekolah, salah satunya SMAN 5 Surabaya merupakan salah satu sekolah yang berada di pusat kota, dimana yang seharusnya lebih memilih angkutan umum untuk mengatasi kemacetan namun sebagian besar siswa disini lebih banyak menggunakan kendaraan pribadi, ini terbukti sekitar 63% siswa menggunakan kendaraan pribadi. Atas dasar itu peneliti mengangkat permasalahan ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemelihan jenis kendaraan siswa SMAN 5 Surabaya. Tujuan penelitian 1) Untuk mengetahui persebaran tempattinggal siswa. 2) Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor memepengaruhi pemilihan jenis kendaraan siswa. 3) Untuk  mengetahui persepsi siswa tentang kendaraan massal yang ideal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian survey, penentuan lokasi dilakukan secara sengaja di SMAN 5 Surabaya. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMAN 5 Surabaya kelas XI dan XII. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi, pembagian angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data untuk rumusan masalah pertama dilakukan dengan cara pemetaan dan untuk rumusan masalah kedua dan ketiga dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan prosentase untuk mengatahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan jenis kendaraan siswa SMAN 5 Surabaya. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut : 1) Di lihat dari peta persebaran tempat tinggal siswa SMAN 5 Surabaya, diketahui pola persebaran tempat tinggal siswa menyebar hampir di seluruh wilayah Surabaya. 2) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa memilih jenis kendaraan tergantung pada jenis kendaraan yang digunakan siswa, jenis kendaraan mobil paling banyak menjawab faktor kenyamanan (37%), kendaraan jenis motor paling banyak menjawab faktor waktu lebih singkat (34%), kendaraan jenis sepeda kayuh menjawab faktor dekat dengan tempat tinggal, jenis kendaraan angkutan umum paling banyak menjawab faktor keselamatan (50%) dan jenis kendaraan antar jemput paling banyak menjawab faktor keamanan (33%). Siswa yang memiliki SIM berjumlah 63%. 3) Berdasarkan kepuasan siswa, 78% siswa masih belum merasa puas terhadap kondisi transportasi umum di kota Surabaya. Berdasarkan prioritas, siswa paling banyak memprioritaskan faktor biaya yang murah (25%) untuk menuju sekolah. Kesediaan siswa apabila transportasi umum sudah sesuai dengan harapan siswa 89% akan beralih menggunakan kendaraan umum.

Abstract

Traffic jam in Surabaya is influenced by a variety of community activities, especially private vehicle users. The existence of public transport is expected to be a solution to traffic jam, which is where most of the public transport has a route passing through the center of town. Private vehicle users often encountered in high school children, one of whom SMAN 5 Surabaya is one of the schools that are in the city center, which is supposed to prefer public transport to cope with traffic jam, but most of the students here more use of private vehicles, this proved to be approximately 63 % students use private vehicles. On the basis of the researchers raised this issue to determine the factors that influence the selection type of vehicle by student SMAN 5 Surabaya. The aims of this reseach to determine residence distribution of students. To determine the factors that influences the selection of vehicles, and to find out students' perceptions of the ideal public transportation. The method used is a survey research, determining the location is done deliberately in SMAN 5 Surabaya. The subjects were students of SMAN 5 Surabaya class XI and XII. Techniques of data collection are done by observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques for the formulation of the first problems is done by mapping and for the formulation of the second and third issues was conducted using quantitative descriptive with percentage to know the factors that influence the selection of the type of vehicle by students SMAN 5 Surabaya. The results of the study is : 1 ) In view of the map of the distribution of students residence SMAN 5 Surabaya prove distribution pattern of student residence spread in almost all regions of Surabaya. The factors affecting students choose type of vehicle depends on the type of vehicle used by students, the type of vehicle most cars answering the convenience factor ( 37 % ), the type of motor vehicle at most replied factor less time ( 34 % ), vehicle type bikes answered factor closer to homes , public transportation vehicles at most answered factor of safety ( 50 % ) and the type of vehicle pick-up at most to answer the safety factor ( 33 % ). Students who have a license amounts to 63 %. Based on student satisfaction, 78 % of students still do not feel satisfied with the condition of public transportation in the city of Surabaya. By priority, most students prioritize low cost factor (25 %) to reach the school. The willingness of students when public transport is in conformity with the expectations of students 89 % would switch to using public transport.
