Abstract

Dlundung Waterfall is one of the tourist attractions in Ketapanrame Village, Trawas District, Mojokerto Regency which has the opportunity to be developed into a leading tourist destination. The number of tourist visits that have increased in the last 4 years is 43,583 people which can cause a decrease in environmental quality.This study aims to determine the physical, real, and effective carrying capacity in the Dlundung Waterfall Area. This research using quantitative descriptive method. The sample of this research is all visitor of Dlundung Waterfall. The sampling method collect 78 respondents using accidental sampling. This research using interview technique to obtain data on operating hours & tourist characteristics at Dlundung Waterfall. Observations is to collect data on the characteristics of tourist attraction area. Documentation to get data on the number of visitors, number of employees, and rainfall. To obtain data on the characteristics of the Dlundung waterfall area, this research using interview method with the manager of the Dlundung waterfall attraction to get the measurement. This research analyze data using the formula developed by Sayan & Atik, 2011: 69 to determine the physical, real and effective carrying capacity of the Dlundung Waterfall tourist area. The results of the study determine the value of physical carrying capacity (Physical Carrying Capacity/PCC) of 25,384 tourists/day, Rill's carrying capacity (Real Carrying Capacity/RCC) of 24,876 tourists/day and effective carrying capacity (ECC) of 12,064 tourists/day.The large amount of carrying capacity means in Dlundung Waterfall still has a potential to accommodate more visitors. The effective carrying capacity can still be increased until the management capacity limit reaches 100% by increasing the number of managers.  Keywords: Physical carrying capacity, Real, Effective, Dlundung Waterfall.
