Abstract

Learning at SMAN 1 Kebomas in the learning process tends to use the lecture method with books and blackboards teaching materials. The average student learning outcomes using the lecture method with books 65% of 69 students did not reach the KKM for geography. Educational technology is growing so that teachers need to develop the media used for learning, one of which is using the lecture method with interactive powerpoint media because this application provides many advantages including being able to display slides to accommodate the material to be explained in an attractive animated form. This study aims to determine the difference in learning outcomes using book media lectures with interactive powerpoint media lectures for students of class X IPS SMAN 1 Kebomas.

The research was conducted using an experimental quantitative approach. The population used was class X students, with a sample of 34 students in the control group of class X IPS 1 and class X IPS 4 as the experimental group. Data collection techniques using pre test and post test. The data analysis was carried out into six stages, namely validity test, descriptive analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, paired sample t-test test to measure differences from powerpoint media on learning outcomes.

The results showed that there were differences in learning outcomes using book media lectures with interactive powerpoint media lectures with a p value of 0.000 <0.05 on the hydrosphere dynamics material. Learning using interactive powerpoint on hydrospheric dynamics material has a difference in the learning outcomes of students in class X IPS 4 at SMAN 1 Kebomas.
