PENERAPAN MIND MAPPING BERBANTUAN VIDEO PEMBELAJARAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA KELAS XI SMAN 2 BLITAR PADA MATERI POSISI STRATEGIS INDONESIA SEBAGAI POROS MARITIM DUNIA

Tuntutan belajar pada abad 21 siswa dituntut untuk menguasai 4C. Pentingnya penguasaan kompetensi 4C bertujuan  memiliki sumberdaya manusia berkualitas siap bersaing dalam berbagai kompetensi. Salah satunya adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis sangatlah penting karena siswa dapat membangun pikiran yang berupa gagasan dasar, prinsip atau teori yang melekat dalam dirinya sehingga dapat menerapkan dalam kehidupan. Perlu adanya metode pembelajaran inovatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu menggunakan mind mapping. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis penerapan metode pembelajaran mind mapping berbantuan video pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Blitar pada materi Posisi Strategis Indonesia sebagai Poros Maritim Dunia dan menganalisis efektivitas penerapan pembelajaran mind mapping.

                Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan quasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian nonequivalent kontrol group design. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes , dokumentasi dan angket. Subyek dalam penelitian ini kelas XI IPS 4 34 siswa dan kelas XI IPS 5 34 siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah  uji N-Gain test dan uji  paired sample t test. Hasil analisis penelitian melalui uji paired sample t test nilai sig. (2-Tailed) sebesar 0.0000 < 0.05 yang berarti  ada perbedaan dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui penerapan mind mapping  untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain kelas IPS 4 sebesar 0.56 dan IPS 5 sebesar 0.47 berada dikategori sedang / efektif untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui mind mapping berbantuan video pembelajaran.

Abstract

            The demands of learning in the 21st century students are required to master the 4Cs. The importance of mastering 4C competencies aims to have quality human resources ready to compete in various competencies. One of them is the ability to think critically is very important because students can build thoughts in the form of basic ideas, principles or theories inherent in themselves so that they can apply in life. There needs to be an innovative learning method to improve critical thinking skills, namely using mind mapping. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of mind mapping learning methods assisted by learning videos to the critical thinking skills of grade XI students of SMAN 2 Blitar on the material of Indonesia's Strategic Position as a World Maritime Axis and analyze the effectiveness of the application of mind mapping learning.

                This type of research is quantitative research with quasi-experiments. Nonequivalent control group design. Data was collected by tests, documentation and questionnaires. The subjects in this study were class XI IPS 4 34 students and class XI IPS 5 34 students. The data analysis used is the N-Gain test and paired sample t test. The results of research analysis through paired sample t test sig value. (2-Tailed) of 0.0000 < 0.05 which means there is a difference and improvement in critical thinking skills through the application of mind mapping to improve students' critical thinking skills. The average N-Gain score of IPS class 4 of 0.56 and IPS 5 of 0.47 is in the medium / effective category to help improve critical thinking skills through mind mapping assisted by learning videos.
