PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM PELESTARIAN HUTAN MANGROVE DI DESA PASAR SELUMA KECAMATAN SELUMA SELATAN KABUPATEN SELUMA

The aim of this research is to determine community participation in preserving mangrove forests in Pasar Seluma Village, South Seluma District, Seluma Regency. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive, with a sample of 50 families. The technique used is random sampling technique and the instruments used in this research are observation, questionnaires and documentation.
Based on the research results found in the field are:
- At the planning stage, the community has not fully included in the planning activities. This can be seen from the fact that there is still a high percentage of no collaboration between the preparation of mangrove forest conservation planning and the benefits obtained for the lives of the people of Pasar Seluma Village, which is 40 people with a percentage of 80%, and there is no conservation policy that is beneficial for elements of the community in Pasar Seluma Village, which is 31 people with a percentage of 62%. Then there was no identification of mangrove environmental conservation in Pasar Seluma Village for the development of mangrove forests amounting to 39 people with a percentage of 78%.
- At the implementation stage, the community has not fully included in the implementation activities. This can be seen that there is still a high percentage of people not participating in the restoration and creation of habitat and using damaged systems to stabilize at 13 people with a percentage of 26%.
- At the control stage, the community has not fully participated in the control activities. This can be seen from the fact that there is still a high percentage of no education carried out by the government in Pasar Seluma Village to increase community utilization and participation in controlling mangrove forests, 31 people with a percentage of 62%, and there is no training carried out by the government in Pasar Seluma Village to increase utilization. and community participation in mangrove forest control was 42 people with a percentage of 84%.
