COMMUNITY RESPONSE TO GOVERNMENT POLICY IN BIOGAS MANAGEMENT IN MULYOSARI VILLAGE PAGERWOJO DISTRICT, TULUNGAGUNG REGENCY

Abstract

The research focuses on biogas management and how the community interacts with government policies on biogas management. The identification of problems in this study is the pollution of the Kaliwangi River by cow dung, cow dung that is not utilized properly by local residents, and the lack of utilization and management of biogas and the lack of community response. The purpose of this study is to know community response to government policies related to biogas management.

The study used qualitative and survey methods as types of research. The determination of informants used purposive sampling techniques with nine communities as research subjects. Interviews, observations, and literature studies for collection and Miles and Huberman as analysis.

The results of the study showed community response to government policy in managing biogas consists of positive and negative responses. The community responds positively because it understands technology and knows the benefits of biogas, feel the usefulness of biogas economically and environmentally, and is able to maintain facilities and is easy to use. The community responds negatively because it does not understand how to use and care, be burdened and lazy, lacking assistance from the government, draining energy, time and cost.
