PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA E-BOOK DENGAN TEXT BOOK TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR PADA MATERI BIOSFER KELAS XI DI SMA NEGERI 1 MUNCAR

Abstract

Permasalahan yang sering dijumpai dalam proses belajar mengajar adalah kesulitan guru membawa

contoh nyata kedalam kelas untuk mempermudah siswa dalam memahami suatu materi. Maka diperlukan
sebuah media yang mempermudah guru menyampaikan maksud dari materi yang akan dijelaskan, salah
satunya adalah media e-book. Dalam penggunaannya e-book perlu dibandingkan dengan media lain
yaitu text book. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Quasi Experiment Design, yaitu
membandingkan hasil belajar dua kelompok kelas yang berbeda perlakuannya. Kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai
control class dengan perlakuan menggunakan text book dan kelas XI IPS 3 sebagai experiment class
dengan menggunakan media e-book. Sedangkan untuk melihat kelayakan kedua media tersebut
menggunakan skala ukur kelayakan yang dikemukakan oleh Riduwan. Dari perhitungan yang dilakukan
menggunakan uji statistika paired sample T-test diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0.00 untuk hasil

diterima yang artinya tidak ada perbedaan nilai posttest antara kedua kelas tersebut. Perhitungan respon
siswa terhadap media e-book memperoleh nilai sebesar 84.7% yang artinya bahwa media e-book
termasuk dalam kriteria media yang sangat layak/sangat baik, sedangkan untuk media text book
memperoleh nilai respon dari siswa sebesar 82.74% hal ini juga menunjukkan bahwa media text book
juga termasuk kedalam kriteria sangat layak/sangat baik.

Abstract

Problems are often encountered in the learning process, such as the difficulty for the teachers to bring
real world’ examples into the classroom to facilitate students to understands the material. Then its
needed a medium that facilitates the teacher conveys the intent of the material that will be described,
which is the e-book medium. In use e-book needs to be compared with other media it is text book. This
research is Quasi Experiment Design study, comparing the results of studying two groups of different
classes of treatment. Class XI IPS 1 as a control class with treatment using a text book and class XI IPS 3
as a class experiment with an e-book. Meanwhile, to see the feasibility of both media use measurement
scales by Riduwan. From the calculations were performed using the statistical test of paired sample Ttest
significance values obtained 0.00 for the comparison between the pretest and posttest grade XI IPS 1

= 5%, then H0 is accepted, which means there is no difference in value between two classes posttest. The
calculation of students' response to media e-book to obtain a value of 84.7%, which means that the media
e-book included in the criteria for a very decent media / very good, while for medium text book response
of students scoring at 82.74% this also suggests that the media text book also included into the criteria
very decent / very good too.
