ANALISIS ESTETIK KARYA TONI JA’FAR BERTEMA “BUILD THE HOUSE”

Abstract

Build the House merupakan tema utama dalam pameran tunggal karya Toni ja’far. Banyak hal yang belum terungkap, terkait dengan faktor konsep estetik, bentuk estetik dan banyak hal dibalik proses penciptaan karya. Dengan sudut pandang penelitian yang berbeda tentu akan menambah kekayaan praktik dan wacana seni rupa. Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah; (1) Apa yang melatarbelakangi penciptaan karya Toni Ja’far?, (2) Bagaimana proses kreasi penciptaan karya Toni Ja’far bertema Build the House ?, (3) Bagaimana bentuk estetik karya Toni Ja’far bertema Build the House?. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis bentuk dalam diskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan ini digunakan untuk mengungkap latar belakang penciptaan, proses kreasi, konsep idiom estetik serta digunakan untuk mengungkap proses kreasi dalam penciptaan karya Build the House. Kesederhanaan tema dan teknik dengan gaya ungkap simbolik menjadi ciri khas karya perupa, dengan mengeksplorasi bentuk-bentuk artistik yang begitu dominan dengan tekstur dan warna yang cenderung membumi. Jejak-jejak visual pengalaman emosional Toni Ja’far berhasil dihadirkan dari kesunyian dunia ide dalam bentuk karya Build the House.

Build the House is a subject matter of the solo exhibition by Toni Ja’far. Many things are yet to be revealed. It is about the concept of aesthetic, aesthetic form and a lot of things behind the process of creation. Towards different points of view of the new research, it will certainly add to the wealth of the art practice and discourse.The focuses of this research are; (1) What is behind the creation of Toni Ja'far’s artworks ?, (2) How is the creative process of Toni Ja'far’s creations themed Build the House?, (3) How are the aesthetic forms of Toni Ja’far’s artworks themed Build the House ?This research uses analytical form of qualitative descriptive. The research approaches are used to reveal the background of creation, creation process, concept of aesthetic idiom and to reveal the creative process in the creation of works of Build the House. The simplicity theme and techniques with symbolic form style are the basic characteristic of the artist, by exploring the artistic forms which are so dominant with the textures and colors that tend to be very humble. The visual traces of Toni Ja’far’s emotional experience successfully presented from the silence world of ideas in the Toni Jafar’s artwork Build the House.
