EKSPLORASI RESIN SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBUATAN KARYA SENI LUKIS BERTEMA GALAKSI

Abstract

Penciptaan karya ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kegemaran pelukis dengan tema galaksi. Berangkat dari
berbagai media lukis yang berbeda dalam pengaplikasian setiap karya sebelumnya, penulis ingin mencari
media yang belum pernah digunakan yaitu resin.
Tujuan dari penciptaan karya ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bahan resin sebagai media sehingga
tercipta seni lukis dengan tema galaksi. Seni lukis bertema Galaksi ini menggunakan metode penciptaan
yang dimulai dari ide, konsep, pendekatan tentang tema, pendekatan bentuk, pendekatan te knik,
pendekatan media dan pendekatan gaya, kemudian dilanjutkan tahap visualisasi dan perwujudan.
Karya yang dihasilkan sebanyak 5 lukisan, semuanya menggunakan media resin. Pemanfaatan media
yang dapat dijumpai sehari-hari menjadi penunjang media karya. Karya pertama pada media mangkuk
dengan tema galaksi Bima Sakti, karya kedua pada pigora dengan tema galaksi cincin, karya ketiga pada
pigora dengan tema galaksi dan nebula dengan objek wanita berkuda, karya keempat berupa
penggabungan galaksi dan nebula dengan objek wanita yang sedang duduk, karya kelima berupa panel
yang terdiri dari dua talenan kayu dengan objek wanita yang sedang berada di galaksi dan empat
midangan (alat bantu menyulam) yang berbentuk bulat sebagai media dengan pengaplikasian bahan re sin
dengan tema kosmogoni yaitu terdiri dari berbagai unsur kehidupan, seperti manusia, hewan, dan alam
semesta.

The creation of this works starts from the impression of the galaxy theme that influenced the author’s
artwork. Depart ing from a variety of different painting media in the application of any previous work, the
author wanted to find media that she has not been used before, which is resin.
While the purpose of the creation of this work is to explore the resin material as a medium to create a
painting with galaxy as the painting theme. This painting themed galaxy method is starting from the
creation of ideas, concepts, approaches on the theme, approach to form, approach technique, approach to
media and stylistic approach, then continued stage visualizat ion and embodiment.
The author produced five paintings, where resin is the medium for the artwork. The author use many
other medium that can be found easily in our daily life. The first painting is using bowl as the medium and
the theme is milky Way Galaxy, the second painting is using frame as the medium and the theme is ring
galaxy, the third work on pigora is contain both many galaxies and nebulae with the object of female
riding a horse, the fourth painting theme is merging galaxies and nebulae with woman as object that sits
on a chair, and the fifth painting is a panel consist two wooden cutting board with the object of women
who were in the middle of the galaxy and four midangan (embroidery tools) rounded shape as a medium
with the applicat ion of that consists various elements of life, such as humans, animals, and nature of the
universe.
