Penerapan Teknik Talking Stick Dalam Model Pembelajaran Langsung Pada Materi Fluida Statik Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Ambunten Sumenep

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Ambunten Sumenep setelah diterapkan teknik talking stick dalam model pembelajaran langsung pada materi fluida statik dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran langsung dengan teknik talking stick. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis true experimental design dan menggunakan tiga instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi, tes dan angket.  Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian control group pretest and posttest design. Dalam penelitian ini populasinya adalah semua siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Ambunten Sumenep, sedangkan sampel yang diambil kelas X MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrolnya adalah X MIA 2. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil secara random acak. Uji-t dua pihak dan uji-t satu pihak digunakan untuk menganalisis data hasil belajar dalam ranah pengetahuan, untuk ranah keterampilan dan sikap menggunakan lembar pengamatan. Hasil analisa menyatakan bahwa hasil belajar siswa pada ranah pengetahuan,  keterampilan, dan sikap kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Respons siswa terhadap model pengajaran langsung dengan teknik talking stick secara umum sangat baik, dan pernyataan ketiga memperoleh respons tertinngi yaitu siswa lebih termotivasi untuk belajar dengan persentase sebesar 70% dan tergolong baik sekali.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the results of student learning outcomes of class X at Ambunten Sumenep Senior High School after being applied talking stick techniques in direct instructional model in the static fluid material and the student responses. The type of research is true experimental design, using research instruments are observation sheets, test sheets and sheets questionnaire. The design of the research is control pretest and posttest group design. The population in this research are all students of class X of Ambunten Sumenep Senior High School, whereas samples taken classes X MIA 3 as the experimental class and the class X MIA 2 as the control class. Samples were taken at random. Data from the research of knowledge of students learning outcomes were analyzed using t-test two parties and one party t-test, while for the skills and attitudes using observation sheets. The analyzed results obtained that results for students in the areas of knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the experimental class better than in the control class. Student responses to the direct teaching model using talking stick technique is generally very good, this is indicated that the highest student's response is in the third statement that students are more motivated to learn by percentage  89% and relatively well.
