PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD PADA HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 1 BANGKALAN PADA MATERI PERPINDAHAN KALOR

Pendidikan adalah salah satu unsur yang penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumberdaya manusia karena dengan menempuh pendidikan seseorang dapat memperoleh pengetahuan, pengalaman,  dan  keterampilan melalui suatu proses belajar mengajar. Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) adalah salah satu mata pelajaran yang ada disetiap jenjang pendidikan dimulai dari tingkat dasar sampai dengan tingkat menengah. IPA adalah ilmu yang mempelajari fenomena alam berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang ada dengan dibuktikan secara ilmiah serta dapat dipertanggung jawabkan. Namun banyak yang menganggap IPA adalah pelajaran yang sulit karena banyaknya konsep dan rumus. Untuk itu, perlu diterapkan salah  satu  model pembelajaran yang digunakan  adalah  model pembelajaran  kooperatif yang mengutamakan kerja sama dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran serta respons siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah True Experimental Design dan populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Bangkalan. Data yang diperoleh berupa hasil keterlaksanaan pengamatan pembelajaran dengan,  nilai pretest dan posttest , serta respons siswa ketika mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Berdasarkan uji normalitas dan homogenitas pada populasi terhadap hasil pretest diketahui bahwa populasi terdistribusi normal dan homogen dengan χ²_hitung < χ²_tabel (α = 0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terlaksana dengan baik pada seluruh kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan dari analisis aspek kognitif siswa menggunakan uji-t dua pihak dan uji-t satu pihak diperoleh hasil belajar siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa di kelas kontrol.. Hasil analisis respons siswa menunjukkan bahwa siswa mempunyai respons yang baik terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Education is one of important elements in improving the quality of human resources because education can give  knowledge, experience, and skills through a learning process. Natural Science (IPA) is one of the subjects available in each level of education, starts from elementary to intermediate level. IPA is the study of natural phenomena based on the facts with scientifically proven and reliable. But many people consider IPA is a difficult subject because of the many concepts and formulas. Therefor, the teacher needs to apply learning model. The learning model used is a cooperative learning model that promotes cooperation in solving the problems. This study was aimed to describe the study feasibility and the students’ responses through the application of cooperative learning STAD type. The design of the study was True Experimental Design and the study populations were the students of SMA Negeri 1 Bangkalan on X grade. The data was the observation result by pretest and posttest score, and responses of the students when learning with STAD cooperative learning model. The results was normally distributed and homogeneous with χ2 count <χ2 table (α = 0, 05) on normality and homogenity tests of the population to pretest score. The reseacrh was showed that the feasibility study with cooperative learning model in STAD type was well-performed on the whole class of experiments. Based on the analysis of the cognitive aspects of students using two sides and one side t-test was obtained that the students in the experimental class better than the students in the control class.  Response analysis of student results was showed that students have a good response to the implementation of cooperative learning model in STAD type in the learning process.
