Abstract

Dongkrek Jaranan Turonggo Putro art is an art originating from Slaharwotan Village, Ngimbang District, Lamongan Regency. This art is the most sought after by the public, among other arts because it has a unique form of presentation. The uniqueness of the Jaranan Turonggo Putro show is shown that there are 2 performances in one Jaranan Turonggo Putro performance, namely besides Jaranan there is also the Reog Ponorogo art. The beginning of Jaranan Turonggo Putro was known by the public as a reog show. The hallmark of Jaranan Turonggo Putro is from the Reog culture to Jaranan.Based on this background, the researchers propose the following problem formulations: 1) How is the hybridity of Turonggo Putro performing arts, Slaharwotan Village, Ngimbang District, Lamongan Regency?, 2) What is the form of presentation of Jaranan Turonggo Putro art in Slaharwotan Village, Ngimbang District, Lamongan Regency?

 

The purpose of this research is to analyze hybridity in the art performance of Turonggo Putro, Slaharwotan Village, Ngimbang District, Lamongan Regency. This study uses relevant literature reviews from theses, theses and journals. A study of the theory originating from Homi K. Bhaba on hybridity and the theory of form of presentation by Hermin. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative method where the researcher describes an explanation of the individual personally through the Jaranan Turonggo Putro art performance.

The validity of the data using triangulation techniques and data analysis.Based on the results of the research, the form of presentation of Jaranan Turonggo Putro art is as follows: 1) The form of presentation which was originally from the presentation of reog then there were additional scenes of jaranan senterewe, pegon braids, boar war, bujang ganong and barongan which made the movement not monotonous and the show became more interesting and attractive. Public. 2) There are additional modern music accompaniments, vocal drums that follow current trends. 3) The make-up has not shown an element of kekunan because it still uses standard make-up. 4) The fashion is more attractive because it is modified.

Mixing and merging of several cultures, the theory of hybridity becomes the basis of the study in this research. Focus on hybridity analysis as a performance art presentation for the Lamongan community in general.
